For all of you out there just starting the game here's a couple of pointers to get you started.
1. dont really worry about the secondary quest until you do the first few primary quests and get a feel for the game. (unless you have played DS 1 then u know the drill)
2. for the beginners that start with a mage the first thing you want to do is to hire at least 1 merc that is melee. this will keep you from dying quite as much do to mages are a little harder to start off with because of the weak skills.
3. carry plenty of health potions lol. i think that was a given.
4.you dont necessarily need the "pack mule". all character you have in your party can carry enough items. plus there are new pets that are much more useful than the pack mule.
