For you people who prefer to be on the top of things while you start a new char. Listen to this!
When you get your 1st set of armor in the beginning village, go directly through the north gate and do the beginning quest. You should save 3 of the Dryad females imprisoned by 3 Creeps. Now, after this you get the gate key to let you out and set fire to the towers but you dont want to do that yet. Go back to the Incantation Shrine *Big blue gazeebo lookin thing* and go in reverse twards the back section of the map, you should see many creeps. Follow these up to the caves, and clear the caves out. Now you may think this is redundant, but this is a good way to start out. And it gets you to level 3-6 in notime before you head outside. Plus if your lucky you will get new armor also.
Now when exiting the cave, dont forget to hand a left and go into the tower to the east. Take the elevator down and there are some unique items lieing behing the skilldoors *level 3 skilldoors include melee, ranged, combat magic, and nature magic* Ive gotten anything from Gold Rings to Silver Rings to New Armor/Weapons from these, and it always helps to have buffs when you start out.
