Even though Quests may not give XP, they sure do hand out nice items. Some of these items are Purple (unique), Light Green (rare) or Golds / Blues. It's rare to see a purple drop while you are out killing monsters but to finish one quick quest and recieve 2 purples... that's worth your time.
So finish as many quests as you can, it's in your best interest.
