As NPC's are giving out details about a specific quest, pay attention because there is a good chance you won't hear that information again. Sure there is a Quest Log in your journal but more often then not I've found it to be less descriptive then I needed to find a starting point for certain quests.
As your NPC unravels her plan in a chat bubble, just make sure you are paying attention and you don't just click through it quickly.
